Confirm the agenda and compose the relevant execution guides instead of assuming that every technical screen evaluates the same signals.
The shell owns stage and modality context only. The underlying coding, design, behavioral, project, or practical guides own signal-specific execution.
This quick reference focuses on execution. The underlying technical or behavioral curriculum remains in its owning Engineering Foundry section.
Let the interviewer state the agenda and confirm the focus once when it materially differs from the invitation.
Summarize the work completed for each signal that actually appeared and identify any unfinished portion precisely.
Forcing one predetermined coding, design, or behavioral script onto an interviewer-led mixed session.
Orient → Clarify → Structure → Execute → Validate → Close
Confirm the prompt, agenda, and any material difference between the invitation and the round that is beginning.
Ask only questions that can change scope, constraints, expected output, tools, or the evidence the interviewer needs.
State the intended approach or response shape at the level appropriate to the round before expanding into detail.
Work while making consequential reasoning observable without narrating every action, keystroke, or thought.
Test, trace, review assumptions, or summarize evidence using the validation method appropriate to the round.
State what is complete, what remains, and the next concrete step for any unfinished risk or follow-up.
Use this as a flexible sequence, not a mandatory script or universal timer.
Technical screen describes a stage and often a remote modality. It does not reliably identify whether the round will evaluate algorithmic coding, practical coding, debugging, design, behavioral evidence, or project depth.
Use the recruiter invitation or the interviewer’s opening agenda as the immediate source of truth. When the signal remains unknown, ask once which areas the screen will cover.
Strong execution behavior makes relevant evidence easier to observe; it is not a pass/fail rubric.
Company-specific differences belong in verified Company Guides and the candidate’s recruiter-provided instructions.
